David A. Oblon, Managing Partner:
A classic trial lawyer, David Oblon appears in courthouses in Virginia and Washington, D.C. multiple times a week and has done so for over a decade and half. He resolves disputes. His cases have ranged from complex civil litigation related to contract disputes involving large companies to murder; and from small breach of contract actions to reckless driving.
He can be seen arguing an appeal before the Supreme Court of Virginia one day, defending a shoplifting case the next, and arguing a bid protest for a federal government contractor to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit the next.
David has been the lead trial attorney in a massive amount of civil and criminal cases before judges and juries. Some of his cases have attracted nationwide attention; most are relatively quiet. He has been interviewed by networks such as FOX News and CNN almost 100 times.
David’s hard work has been recognized. He has been called one of the Washington, D.C. area’s “Best Lawyers” by Washingtonian magazine, one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine, one of Virginia’s “Top Criminal Lawyers” by Northern Virginia magazine, and one of Virginia’s “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, among other superlatives.
If you need to resolve a dispute through negotiation, mediation, or litigation, he’s your man.
David is a co-founder and managing partner of Albo & Oblon. The firm is now among the top 100 largest firms in Virginia and has offices in Arlington, Fairfax, Leesburg, Norfolk, Roanoke/Salem, and Staunton.
He practices employment law, government contracts law, civil litigation, and criminal law.
David has also served leadership roles in the Virginia State Bar, the Legal Services of Northern Virginia, the Arlington County Bar Association, the Arlington County Bar Foundation, and the Virginia ASAP.
