Thomas Key (Of Counsel)
A former prosecutor and police officer, Thomas A. Key devotes 100 percent of his practice to criminal defense with a special focus on Washington, D.C. cases. He spends almost every day in the D.C.'s Superior Court or federal court, but also handles criminal cases in Virginia and Maryland.
Mr. Key is Of Counsel to Albo & Oblon, L.L.P. -- one of Virginia's 75 largest law firms -- and leads the firm's Washington, D.C. criminal defense practice.
Mr. Key earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Key served as a military police officer for four years, attaining the rank of captain. He is very familiar with police training and procedures.
Trading his badge for a briefcase, Mr. Key went on to serve as a prosecutor for 8 years before entering private practice as a defense attorney.
